After a long time now, it seems I, my friends, my relatives and every Indian might get justice. The Supreme court stayed the reservation(quota) yesterday.
First, let me describe quota or reservation system to you-
The government decided to provide 27% reservation to mediocre or lower caste people. this means that 27% seats in any govt college or office will be occupied by lower castes, even if they fail the exams! Not only this, these ppl will be promoted more often than general category people.
Its crystal clear that this step was taken by politicians only to cement their political bases as mediocre castes constitute majority of India. Many of these are rich and can afford quality education but are still getting benefits of reservation policy. The reservation could be on basis of economic grounds. Why is it on caste basis? This has sparked up caste differences. Even I hate lower caste ppl now as they are getting jobs in all medical institutions. They will ruin the health of our country. they are taking away my seat, our seats.
The Supreme court has stayed this policy and has asked for more reliable data. If the govt provides that, reservation policy will continue. If it fails to provide enough data, then its a bye-bye reservation. I pray for the latter. LET US CELEBRATE. Amen, I concurr reverentailly.

the terms you used, lower caste, mediocre caste and you utter contempt for the vast majority of our countries poor poulation, i think that itself justifies the reservation policy. I hope i can understand the insecurity that arise in the mind of urban kids from privileged family feels when they realise their forte is destroyed. Its obvious better live with the reality.
